Wish I was a local to this fish and chip shop! I ordered, 2 fish bites, 3 potato cakes, 1 fried dim sim and regular chips, & George had it done within 5 minutes. Was absolutely amazing, best fish bite I’ve ever had. Chips were amazing and the potato cake was unbelievably good and great size. I’ll definitely be making the hour and a bit drive back down to eat here again. Had to give him a phone call to tell him how great it was.

UPDATE: In response to the owners comment, which I only just noticed. We aren't local, and only visited Geelong for a small family outing. Your food clearly isn't good quality, as evident in the photos provided. No point calling up as no issue would have been fixed - we have things to do, and aren't local to the area. If you want to keep customers happy, perhaps get things done right the first time. I suspect you dropped the ball on our order, though your food is overpriced anyway for what it is, so we'd never consider coming back after that first experience, if we ever came back to Geelong. It also seems you've dropped to 4.3 stars, so clearly something's going wrong... Pickup the ball. Don't try to turn blame on the customer for your mistakes in your response. ------------------------------ Original Review: What is this pathetic excuse for fish and chips? Almost $30 for soggy chips, 2 potato cakes, 2 dim Sims and a flake. The chips aren't even cooked properly and the potato cakes are almost raw. Who in their right mind serves food like this? How this place has 4.6 stars is beyond me.

Beautiful fish and chips. Best potato cakes we've eaten in years. Generous serves and the chips were beautiful. Highly recommend. 👌👌

Spotlessly clean. Warm and welcoming. George a legend! Lightly battered fish. Scrumptious potato cakes. Mouth watering chips. Loved the special free George chocolates to have with my fresh jam donuts. No other place to eat fish and chips when in Geelong!

Absolutely delicious fish and chips! The food was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell they care about their customers. Will definitely be coming back, thanks 👍🏼
