Colombo Brothers

I usually like food from Colombo Brothers, but I was really disappointed this time. I bought a mutton roti last Saturday, and it was badly burnt on one side. Please make sure not to sell items like that — the quality should be checked before giving it to customers.

This place used to be good but since they were getting good demand they reduced the quality and respect towards customers. I have got food posioned 3 out of 4 last times and to be honest they were very arrogant and today they crossed the limits by arrogantly arguing without any reason, their head chef is the most rude and arrogant guy who was charging extra than prices mentioned and was arguing very stupidly. To my surprise when i came home today with their food they did not serve me 3 peices which they have promised and haven’t even given a boiled egg which is in deal. First thing very low quality food posioning food, secondly charging more than mentioned, thirdly scamming people in takeway by not giving entire food. I am sharing the pics as well. My honest suggestion if you want to spoil your health and peace of mind go to this damn restaurant.

Absolutely loved the hoppers here 🤩 ! The hoppers were perfectly crispy around the edges and soft in the centre, with the egg cooked just right. The flavour was authentic and reminded me of home-style Sri Lankan cooking. Paired beautifully with the sambols and curry on the side. Fresh, well-presented, and clearly made with care. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a true taste of Sri Lanka!

Absolutely delicious Sunday rice set! I tried today’s menu - veg fried rice, devilled chicken, grilled sausage, fish cutlet, bullseye egg, veg chopsuey, and chilli paste - and everything was just perfect! The flavours were authentic, well-balanced, and full of Sri Lankan warmth. The portions were generous, and every item complemented the other beautifully. You can really taste the love and effort in each dish. One of the best Sunday rice sets I’ve had - highly recommended!

Walking into this store honestly feels like stepping right back home. From the shelves stocked with all the familiar brands, ingredients, and snacks I grew up with, this place has it all. Not only the mouthwatering shorteats, but the flavour full kottu/lumprice along with a sip of the srilankan style ice-coffee are my favorites! Highly recommend to any fellow Sri Lankans or anyone wanting to explore the richness of our cuisine.
