Source: GoogleAmple parking, good choice of menu items, though on the menu it says salad was included with the $16 pie & chutney, but then got told it was $2 extra for the salad, which I just got anyway as I didn't want just a pie on its own. Friendly service. Tidy bathrooms and good that the wash basin is outside separate, so if you want to wash your hands only it's more accessible. Loved the cafe cat, such a cutie.
Very nice place, amazing deliciously work of art chocolates, i ordered the best ausie beef pie i ever tasted, I travel a lot and the always order vanilla slice, yours is one of the best. All the staff are very friendly especially the young lady at the cashier. Someday i will bring my family and friends.
Staff were very flustered when we arrived, as it was busy. Place seemed chaotic and disorganised. We had a reservation but there were no cleared/set tables at all. Server said to pick a table and someone will come to clear the table. We were there just over 2 hours, no-one cleared our table. Several tables were left uncleared. We felt compelled to help them out! Servers served our food and drinks in a timely manner in 3 trips but only one of them took 1 dirty plate from previous diners from our table. We pushed all the dirty cockery, cups and glassware to the next table, which was also full of uncleared plates, cups etc. Toastie was nice, marble cake was dry, crumbly and bland tasting. Pot of tea was good! We also bought chocolates, expensive but tasted ok. We noticed the long haired staff in the chocolate room werent wearing hair coverings. Inside the cafe it was VERY noisy. We sat outside and it was much more pleasant, apart from the insects and magpie helping themselves to the piles of dishes on all the tables. Once the rush was over, the larger groups gone and staff less stressed, the tables still weren't cleared. We thought that very odd. Obviously not a priority! Was nice to finally revisit the cafe after many years for sentimental reasons though. Was a beautiful day to sit out on the verandah. The overall vibe was one of disorganistion and dirty dishes literally piled up on every single table was off putting. Won't be rushing back.
Cosy place for a snack, dessert and hot chocolate(excellent) or coffee. Attentive serice with a smile. Well worth a visit if in the area.
Absolutely thrilled to bits by everything today. Food was lovely, atmosphere was perfect, service was punctual and pleasant. The most exceptional chocolates. The only negative for me personally (and it wasn't an issue for anyone else around me) was, there is a very tame magpie that kept coming to visit (i have a bird phobia). I could have resolved it by sitting inside but the outdoor seating is to die for in this nice weather
