THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! We are incredibly grateful to the team at Geelong Animal Referral Service for the care they gave our dog, Monty. From the very first phone call, Donna’s kindness and compassion helped steady us during what was an overwhelming and emotional time. Our first appointment was nerve-racking, but Barry immediately gave us confidence that Monty was in the right place and that we could trust the care he was receiving. As Monty’s journey became more complex, Adrian’s professionalism and clinical skill stood out. His thorough approach, persistence in finding answers as Monty’s condition evolved, and ongoing follow-up gave us complete confidence that Monty’s wellbeing was always the priority. The regular updates, post-surgery photos, and follow-up phone calls, including over the weekend, were greatly appreciated and made a difficult time much easier to get through. We felt supported, informed, and genuinely cared for throughout the entire process. We feel incredibly lucky to have a service like GARS in our region. The care Monty received was thorough, compassionate, and of a standard well above anything we have experienced elsewhere. Thank you for looking after our boy so well.

My dog was referred to GARS after presenting at our local vet with vomiting blood. GARS were wonderful. All the staff there were loving and caring not only of my dog but for me too. I had my children with me and didn’t want them to hear the bad news the receptionist printed off pictures for my children to colour while I was in with the vet. The vets took their time and answered all of my questions. They were very thorough and ensured me he had 24 hr supervision. I recommend them for your pet they will be in good hands.

The level of care from the veterinary staff and the gorgeous ladies at the front desk blew us away. Our beautiful Audrey was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer, and while a large portion was removed, she was left with a wound too big to heal on its own. If it wasn’t for Alistair’s creative thinking and expertise, that wound would never have closed — and we simply wouldn’t still have Audrey with us today. Thanks to him, and the whole team at GARS, she’s been given precious extra time with our family. Every time I talk about Audrey’s journey, I recommend GARS to others for pretty much anything. Our family is endlessly grateful to Dr Ricky and the entire team at Geelong Animal Referral Services for the incredible care given to our Jack Russell x Pomeranian - Bo - who was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 4 years old and went on to require 2 total hip replacement surgeries. From start to finish, the compassion, professionalism and reassurance shown by every member of the team made a daunting process so much easier, especially for myself as an extremely anxious dog owner! The level of skill and expertise at GARS is second to none and having access to some of the top veterinary specialists - including Dr Ricky - gave us complete confidence that Bo was in the very best possible hands. Thanks to their outstanding care, Bo has a new lease on life and he is now able to run, play and enjoy every moment without pain or discomfort! He is absolutely thriving and we are all so happy. We were so impressed with the knowledge, dedication and kindness of the whole team and would confidently recommend GARS to anyone in need of specialist veterinary care. If we ever require veterinary specialist services again we will absolutely be returning to GARS and nowhere else. The difference they have made in Bo's life - and in ours - is truly immeasurable! I can’t thank the team at GARS enough for the care and compassion they showed my dog and me. My dog underwent TPLO surgery and although I’m sorry I’ve forgotten the surgeon’s name, he was absolutely wonderful. So kind, informative, and reassuring. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel confident about the surgery. Thank you to Emma on reception for being so warm and friendly when she saw me out. Her kindness really meant a lot. A special thank you as well to Scarlett, who is on work placement and in her final year of university to become a vet. She was so lovely, friendly, and comforting to chat with. Thank you to the whole team for being so understanding while I was emotional about my dog. I’m incredibly grateful for the care we received and would highly recommend GARS to anyone.
