Having looked at many aged care providers we've found Highton Gardens to be a standout in community aged care with friendly attentive staff, a wonderful staff buddy arrangement with each resident, immaculately maintained interiors always fresh and bright, with generously sized living and garden spaces, and homey open plan kitchen areas, all of which gave us a reassuring introduction to a very welcoming new home for our loved one. From our first meeting with Ushani and Jess, they listened and understood our situation, acknowledged the particular physical needs and other challenges that we faced in transitioning my 90 YO Mum into 24/7 aged care after a long period in hospital and rehab. The entire Highton Gardens team were committed from day one to my Mum's welfare, going above and beyond - we cannot thank you enough for that outstanding support. Mum has settled so well, visiting friends all say she has never looked better. We agree - that is what safety, homey comforts, meaningful engagement, excellent personalised 24/7 care from committed people can do - giving us peace of mind we have made the best choice for our Mum. Thank you to everyone  💐

I’m beyond thankful that I found Highton Gardens to care for my mum in her time of need. I’d only ever heard negative stories about aged care but even after 18 months since her first stay, I cannot fault a thing - especially the staff. They are professional, attentive, enthusiastic, friendly and welcoming. In fact, I now feel as though I’m arriving home when I visit. The activities and events they put on are also sensational - especially the recent cocktail party and Christmas celebrations! I am so so grateful that mum is in a safe, caring and stimulating new home. It made the difficult choice a much more comfortable and reassuring one. Our family are able to worry less and focus on spending quality time together.

Highton Gardens Aged Care really do put their residents first. My Father has been there for 16 months and has found the support workers and Nurses to be friendly and of great support to him. I highly recommend this facility for any family wanting this necessary support for a loved one

Transition into aged care at Highton Gardens Care Community has been a positive experience for my parents. Firstly starting as a trial with respite care then making the decision to stay permanently because of the caring supportive environment provided by all the staff. This home has a great culture where the residents well being is of the highest priority. Very happy family here

The staff are good and the residence is presentable. However I have found in the past, my resident has been left in "medical isolation" with no working alarm, no doctors called and no observations overnight, dead flowers constantly left in their room, 6 bottles of shampoo missing, their mental health declining due to lack of interaction, ongoing issues with the hearing aide ie no batteries and even the wrong hearing aide and still in bed dressed in her pyjama's at 10.30am. I have now been advised due to awkward pressure from a family member, that improvements are being made. Though I was part of a "family" meeting, I was not at anytime updated regarding the issues discussed, though Management would have you believe in their response below, that I was. Not even after sending several emails to enquire, as mentioned I would do in the said meeting. Family wish to give this home the benefit of the doubt as "things have changed" and I sincerely hope this is the ongoing. What is disappointing and upsetting for me is I shall never be informed nor notified of any updates as I am not family. Excellent care is what this precious resident needs after being there for me for 40 years.
