Charlie Bakery Grovedale

This little bakery is one of the best in Geelong. Their pastries are divine! I absolutely adore their lemon curd doughnuts and everything else is made to perfection, including their coffee and hot chocolate! They're super generous with the filling, one bite into their pastries and you'll know what I mean! This is an effortless five-star review, thank you, and keep up the awesome service! i went in there 11:30 am little late to be honest. I was staring at the cinnamon scroll, i asked few questions about its texture just to have it sold online to someone else.. The staff didn’t seem really keen to be there, or recommend me anything either.. I see 4.8 stars, so I will come again and try once more soon. Banana bread was $7ish - taste nothing like bananas, dry, and texture was boring. I really do not want to let this experience define this bakery, as it looks great. One of the best iced chai lattes I think I’ve ever had. Amazing, interesting and new food that I enjoy trying something new. Customer service is so good, they keep conversations and actually seem interested. Staff are just so lovely. I would 100% recommend.

I’ve tried their Torquay store before, and this time I came to the grovedaleshop. I arrived a bit late around 11:15, and a lot of the pastries were already sold out. I really like their croissants and the pastry layers – great flakiness and crunch. The fillings are more on the average side, nothing too exciting, but overall still a pretty solid experience.

Charlie Bakery offers good-quality pastries, though they are priced a bit higher than similar places around Geelong. Everything we tried was enjoyable. One small improvement would be clearer labels or signage in the cabinet, as it was a bit of a guessing game choosing items.
