Kalye Marinas Filipino Grill and Seafood (Geelong Branch)

It was my first time here, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! My friends wanted to try Filipino food, so I brought them here — and it was such a great choice. The silogs were absolutely beautiful and tasted just like home. I really hope that someday their meats can also be halal so everyone can enjoy them. Overall, the service was great. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure all our requests and changes were accommodated properly. The prices are good for the quality, and the servings are generous — even the silogs are big enough for sharing. The place is clean and spacious, and there’s convenient parking both at the front and at the back of the shop. We also tried their desserts, and they were delicious. I will definitely come back!

This was our first visit to Kalye Marinas.We ordered the barbecue with garlic rice. The flavour was good, though the meat was a bit hard. The garlic rice was enjoyable, and my Aussie husband liked the meal overall. I also had the prawn sinigang. The soup was tasty, but the prawns were overcooked and difficult to peel. We ordered another garlic rice, but it was forgotten and arrived after we had finished eating. On a positive note, the dragon milkshake was very good. For improvement, having more toilets would be helpful, and the area behind the bowls was quite dusty and could be better maintained.

We have been meaning to try Kalye Marina’s for months so when our birthday came around, we thought it was the perfect opportunity and WOW, we were not disappointed! The seafood was spectacular – the crabs were a little hard to open and the bibs were definitely needed but worth the work because it was so good! We also tried the fried chicken and it was top notch. The staff were enthusiastic and the atmosphere was vibrant. Very cool foodie experience! So good to have Red Horse available as well.

The menu, mostly featuring meat rather than seafood, was a bit misleading. The food tasted okay, not great but not bad either. The dessert, however, was the best part. The cleanliness could also use some improvement. Overall, not a bad experience, but there’s room for improvement.

101/100 this place is my top Filo restaurant to recommend to everyone the food is fireee. I did my birthday here and they surprised me with a jolly song and ice cream 10/10 costumers service. Gonna come back here again soon!
