Squires Loft Geelong

The steak was very well cooked just as I ordered it Med / rare. I had a 300grm scotch fillet with potato as a side around $56. It was very nice. The others on the table had Chicken breast, one with potatoes and two with chips. There was a mix of two of the breasts were moist and two were very dry. The large side of salad feed all 4 of us. The sides of chips were so hot and crunchy with nice soft potato inside. This is my option and I can't get my head around paying over $100 for a steak.

This is hands down the most fabulous steak I’ve come across 🥩🔥🤤 I needed a serious protein load 💪😄 and this rib eye on the bone absolutely delivered. Perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully tender 👌✨ The roast potatoes were spot on 🥔😍 and the Greek salad was fresh and crisp 🥗🍅🫒 One of the best steak meals I’ve had in a long time. I’ll definitely be back 🙌😊

Perfectly cooked Steak & Poorly Cooked Chicken My wife and her sister opted for the chicken, without exaggerating eating a thong/sandal would’ve been easier… it’s such a shame as the steaks and sides were perfect.. I asked the Irish fellow (Reece I think) and stated they are really dry he said sorry but that’s how they come they are cooked on the grill?? My shock I said what do you mean. He said he thinks they will come out exactly the same if he replaced them. Well respectfully Nando’s cook chicken on a grill and it’s juicy so what’s happening here? He offered to replace with another meal but we wanted chicken and he made it clear that a replacement would be the same. This really left a sour taste in his response. I then spoke to our waiter (Campbell) who was clearly trying to do his best and the service from him throughout the evening was great. I told him what had happened and he went away to try rectify. The end result was the chickens were taken off the bill at the end of the evening, although we didn’t pay for them I considered squires loft to be of a much higher standard and used on special occasions, there was 9 of us and the 2 of most important people from the 9 didn’t enjoy their meal. Let me reiterate if you want a steak they do it well but avoid the chicken. If you pay squires loft prices you EXPECT quality and high end service.

Incredible steak, delicious sides, best blue cheese sauce! Great service and fantastic atmosphere. The steaks are always cooked perfectly with great depth of flavour and the wait staff will happily talk you through the options. Always a great spot when you want great steak!

Pretty average experience overall. The food was okay and the portions good, but the service really let the place down. Staff didn’t seem very attentive and were often walking around aimlessly. Had to ask three separate times just to get two forks, which was frustrating and took away from the meal. Hoping it was just an off night, but it didn’t leave a great impression.
