Freshwater Creek Cottages

We had such an amazing and unforgettable experience at The Lodge! From the first moment we came in we were starstruck as The Lodge was truly quaint and beautiful. The kitchen at The Lodge to our pleasant surprise came fully equipped for preparing meals and we had very well prepared dinners just as though we were in our own home. Having stayed in luxurious airbnbs and farmstays before, we were very impressed with how well-maintained The Lodge was. Shower pressure was also great and all the linens were nice and fresh. The next morning, we were greeted by the farm’s cows who we then fed with ample food supply provided by the farm. My son particularly loved feeding the geese and ducks as well! We were also very grateful to Farmer Peter and Andrea who did a fantastic job when driving us around in a tractor ride! My family and I truly loved our time here and we hope that you guys do decide to make a comeback soon. P/S : My 4 year old son (who was originally homesick at the time) was so happy with his stay that he asked me to book a stay for 10 days at the farm next time! Haha Love from The Yeohs in HK

We booked the Woodcutter Cottage at Freshwater Creek Cottages last minute for a Lunar New Year break, and it exceeded our expectations, especially as it was our first farm stay. The cottage was beautiful, cozy, and exceptionally clean. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, from tea and coffee to kitchenware, sauna, and clear instructions. We absolutely loved the tractor ride - learning about the animals and even special ways to call the goats, horses, pigs, cows, and sheep over was such a fun and memorable experience. Picking fresh eggs early morning was a highlight too (we luckily found 2 eggs for our breakfast)! Peaceful location yet still convenient to supermarkets and the city centre. Highly recommend for a relaxing countryside escape.

Really enjoyable stay at Freshwater Creek Cottages. The farm is half farm land with lots of animals and half bush. Loved feeding and seeing the pigs, cows, geese, chickens, horses but stand out favourite were the goats! We were lucky to be there while they had one month old goats that were so funny and interactive. Even took some of the older goats for a walk! Nice and peaceful environment. Farm Phil is lovely and super chatty! A couple of tips for future travellers - there is no soap or shampoo so BYO. The fridge is also empty on arrival so BYO food if you don’t want to go out again after arrival. Otherwise lovely experience at the cottage.

We had a lovely relaxing time away at freshwater creek cottages. We enjoyed walking around the farm and interacting with and feeding all the animals along the way. Our little woodcutters cottage was just perfect with everything we needed for our stay. If you need supplies, It is just a short drive into Torquay and to the beach. Farmer Phil’s tractor ride was a highlight as he interacts with guests and is very knowledgeable about his farm and all of his animals. We can’t wait to return for another farm stay!

Me and some friends came to spend a few days away from the city and relax. It was everything and more than we expected! Such a beautiful place, so peaceful! The cottage we stay in was so lovely, comfortable and clean! It was so nice to learn about the animals and how much work and love goes into their care! We will be back very soon!
