Source: GoogleWe had a great stay!!! Staff were so friendly and helpful!!! Our powered site was great heaps of room. The pools were pristine and landscaping was lovely!! Perfect place to stay if going to a Geelong footy match or going on the Spirit of Tasmania!! We will be going back definitely!!! Regards Kristin and Kevin McIntosh
This park was OK, although won’t return , however , amenities were clean and had a well equipped camp kitchen. # Half basketball court was great for older children, however taken up a lot with kids playing cricket inside which was not ideal. Kids facilities are more for young children. The grounds man, was always very grumpy and rude to children with no real purpose. other staff were lovely and pleasant. # Powered sites are very small, power outlets are shared between a 2 or 4 sites making hard to try pass an extension cable behind other campers, not ideal/ # The powered sites are by road, next to a main road/bridge going over Barwon river, making very noisey- horrible sites. For the price I would expect better sites. Not worth the costs. What was worse, it was even discussed with customers at booking or when checking in. The park need to reduce price for those sites by a hell of a a lot to make it even acceptable. # Having Cole’s and other shops within walking distance was very handy. # Bathrooms need a floor mop Or squeegee for patrons use after showering. # I didn’t see any coffee van at park whilst staying there # need a kiosk # Pools are very very small, but did the job.
Just had a short stay here and it met all expectations. Chris and Tina are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The park is clean and well maintained. Great location on the river. Kids enjoyed the pool, bouncing pillow and pedal carts. Would highly recommend and will stay here again when next in town.
The Good: 1. Location is excellent if you wish to explore Geelong as some amenities are in walking distance. 2. Probably the best holiday park I've been to in terms of cleanliness, and we'll maintained facilities. Really impressed. 3. Staff are really friendly and helpful 4. Well equipped kitchen. 5. Great activities for kids 6. Daily coffee and snacks van The not so great: 1. Powered sites are small and power outlets are shared between a 2 or 4 sites making hard to try pass an extension cable behind other campers to get to yours. 2. Location is next to a main road/bridge going over Barwon river, making noisy even at night if camping in a tent.
I don’t often write reviews- basically it has to be terrible or really good - in this case I can tell you that Geelong Holiday Park is amazing. all the staff I met from reception to groundskeepers were super friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to help. Secondly the park itself is very nice- plenty of trees and shade and quite a beautiful place It’s close to the freeway but noise is not a problem. We were travelling on the Spirit of Tasmania, sailing at 10pm and we were super pleased to be able to take the park up on the offer to pay for a late checkout- it certainly made for a relaxing day. The park is 10 minutes to the Geelong foreshore, 30 minutes to Torquay Beach and about the same to Queenscliff so these plenty to do. Amenities were always super clean as was the grounds. Would definitely stay here again
