Coles Belmont

Interesting experience when visiting this store. Not sure I'd call it "good". As a visitor to Geelong it definitely has me wondering if this is the typical style of this area. Shelves badly stocked, absolute mess in the lollies section with packets everywhere and no organisation at all. I got an idea of why this might be when I reached the checkout. Staff member casually having a conversation with his manager (who didn't seem to interested in anything really) and other buddy who didn't look too busy, whilst serving me (ignoring me btw), chatting about how he "should have been fired a long time ago". If his bagging ability is anything to go by, maybe he should have been. While he was too busy having his convo, he seemed to forget about actually scanning my groceries, not to mention he didn't seem to know how to bag items as he was basically just sitting everything on the bench. Until his buddy stepped in and started doing the work. Like I said, interesting experience. I think we'll go back to Woolworths.

Staff ignore people at the front counter. Three differnt nearby staff did their best to avoid eye contact as they were "too busy" to come to the counter. Disapointing service, just left to stand there. Left after 12 minutes of being avoided.

Lovely bunch of staff and really solid in helping you. Understanding and like the experiance but dont like the prices and the clomgomorate and monopoly they have instead of prices being gouged and us being ripped off how about ethical and empathy

Pro-tip for coming here: park up the back near the mechanic/tyre centre if its busy - easier parking, and you get a few extra steps in to your day. I only really park in the front section at night when it's less busy. The Coles itself is good. The door opens onto a spacious veg section, and there's usually flowers for sale adorning the inner gates, so it's refreshing and charming. The srlf service exit could be more spacious IMHO.

Nice big store, easy to find stuff, especially with the app. Lots of parking.
