Buckley Falls Lookout

We visited Buckley Falls and absolutely loved it. It’s a quiet, underrated spot along the Barwon River, perfect if you want to escape the crowds and enjoy some peaceful nature time. The falls aren’t very tall, but the flowing water over the rocks is beautiful and calming. There are easy walking tracks along the river, great for a relaxed stroll, taking photos, or just slowing down and enjoying the scenery. We found it very quiet and well suited for families as well. Wear comfortable shoes as there are some steps and uneven paths. Overall, it’s a lovely little hidden gem in Geelong and definitely worth a visit if you enjoy nature and tranquil spots

The walk from the parking area to the lookout is impressively short and easy. Unlike many waterfall trails that involve steep inclines or slippery rocks, the paths here are well-maintained and gentle. This makes it an ideal destination for families with young children who may not have the stamina for long treks. Also, ​it is easy for elders looking for a steady, low-impact stroll to enjoy the fresh air. Snap some photos: The rushing water against the rocky outcrops provides a beautiful backdrop for photography. ​Enjoy the silence: Despite being so close to the suburbs, the area feels tucked away. It’s a perfect place to pause, listen to the flow of the Barwon River, and simply enjoy a quiet moment with nature.

5 mins walk to the dam. Few seating spots where you can relax and listen water falls sounds. There are 3 viewing points. Suggest spending at least an hour or go for walk around the man made dam

Parking available. A nice easy walk, well maintained area. Take care on stones and stairs if you're wobbly on your feet, otherwise very doable.

Beautiful spot to visit. Fairly easy walk or you can stay an the top and enjoy the falls from the lookout. Take a break in nature and pay this area a visit.
