Leisurelink Aquatic & Recreation Centre

Only signed up here for swimming, not the gym. The pool itself is great, clean, good quality, with kind lifeguards and friendly staff. Showers are spacious too. The downside is the morning lane allocation. Often 3–4 lanes are reserved for school swimming, leaving everyone else squeezed into just a few lanes. Why not schedule swim school during less busy times? Or if possible, since you're all pros, why not use the deeper pool instead of taking over the main one that most people use? Also, the price for just a swim pass is too high! That needs a rethink too.

First timer at this aquatic center and arrived with 2 nine year olds for some fun. No doubt the children enjoyed the play area with slides and water features. Out of the 3 pools, the main one had only one lane for non swimmers so it was packed with older kids 12-14yrs, jumping in and making it difficult to enjoy. We had brought some sinkies with us and it was hard to enjoy even a small space where they could feel safe enough to play in the water. That being said we still had a good day. Canteen is ok but limited options that are not fried and apart from toasted sandwiches all with meat or dairy, there wasn’t much our family could have. I’d recommend taking lunch. We had snacks but hoped to buy something. Nice staff that were helpful.

All the staff are lovely, we have been coming here for years, however, every single week for months now I have been met with an overwhelmingly strong smell of urine in the change rooms - and I mean ALL of them. Everything is wet too so it's hard to tell what is just water and what is actual pee...

I love Leisurelink, of course there are some things that could be improved, like the size of the sauna and the size of the HIIT classes BUT the main issue is the drinking water, is it just me or does it taste and smell like chlorine? It can't just be me cos its very noticeable, my work has filtered water which I drink daily so I'm quite aware of what clean filtered water tastes like and the filtered water at Leisurelink is definitely not clean and filtered, so the burning question I have is WHY? Its like im drinking pool water

Your warmth and patience make such a difference. Also to Stace, thank you for your support and guidance you’ve given our family just like Di has. You both bring the perfect balance of fun, safety, and understanding, meeting our daughter exactly where she’s at — even when that can look different each class. You’ve helped her find her confidence in the pool, and that confidence now ripples into every part of her daily life. We’re so grateful for the positive impact you’ve had!
