This section of the Mooralbool River is just as beautiful as the Barwon River. You can only navigate a short section before vegetation prevents further progress, but still quite enjoyable and beautifully full of a life and colour any time of the year.

Moorabool River meanders with Twists and Turns to meet the Barwon River at a Junction on the Red Gum Island. Moorabool River has Turtles, Waterbirds and Yarra Pygmy Perch. Barwon River Trail is Accessible to all...walking or wheels, the Tracks are wide and well maintained. Hail Autumn...but Winter is fast Coming.

Lovely place to take the dog, been taking him for over 2 years now and we both love it, an hour walk or two if you like, even a short 25 minute. Dogs are allowed off leash at certain parts of the walk and its so relaxing and beautiful. Luscious growth, beautiful river and always nice people to chat to. Highly recommend :)
