Source: GoogleThank you to Ash and the amazing sincere staff. On Monday I knew it would be a sad visit and after having my beautiful Floyd checked with his updated health, I knew it was the right decision to say a moment of pause, until I get to see Floyd again. Ash and the staff done the best they could to make Floyd as comfortable as possible in his final time. I know it wasn’t easy for them either. I can never fault the care over Floyd’s 13 years with Ash. 🐾🐾🌈🌈🙏🏻
I called this vet for guidance, I'm not a client yet!! as my kitty licked and brushed up against this lily and as I understood it, can be highly toxic to cats. The receptionist got the vet Jenny to talk to me and she suggested I bring him in once I was ready. But before I even started the car the phone rang and it was the vet, she had contacted Geelong Specialist vets and assured me that this Lily needed to be ingested to cause harm, so we are monitoring our brat to make sure nothing changes!! Amazing Service from what I can only assume is a very caring and dedicated Vet!! Thank you Jenny?!
It’s taken me eight months to build up the courage to write this, because on 21 August 2024 I took Milo to this pet hospital to be put to sleep forever. He was ‘sedated’ first, and I was told he might vomit — and vomit he did. I’ve never seen so much vomit come out of a little dog! Not only was the needle he was given to start this process ( the ONLY needle in his whole life that made him spin his head around in pain) but was done quickly and without warning. it didn’t sedate him, it made him unconscious! I had to hold his nose up out of the vomit and wipe it clean so he could breathe, while he lay there on the cold floor. Then he was scooped out of my arms and taken away. When he was brought back, he had a cannula in his little leg and a long come seen hoes attached so it could easily stretch from the exam table to the front corner of the bench next to it. The ‘vet’ Ash, then pushed himself up so he was sitting on the bench much higher than me. While I was kissing Milo’s head, rubbing his ears and telling him to go and find his poppy,, in a voice void of any compassion, Ash said: “He can’t hear you — he’s brain-dead.” I will never forget those words. They were heartless, cruel and completely lacking any empathy for me having just lost my best mate and completely unnecessary! I’m just so glad I didn’t have a child with me! It’s not the way any vet that truly cared would ever speak or behave! Every other pet I’ve said goodbye to — whether mine or my children’s, ’ — was always put to sleep gently, with a single injection. Peacefully. With compassion and dignity.. But Milo’s farewell was nothing like that. It was chaotic, cold, and left me traumatised convinced that I had failed Milo when he needed me the most. If I had known this was how it would happen, I NEVER would’ve taken him there and will carry that guilt and regret for the rest of my life! He meant everything to me. Please, if your beloved pet is nearing the end, don’t put yourself or them through what happened to my darling Milo. 💔 After speaking to somebody who also trusted this ‘vet’,, if your pet is having surgery you might want to check that the surgery IS actually taking place WHERE they say it is and that you pet isn’t being taken elsewhere for the procedure without your knowledge or consent. Don’t just ring, if they’re not there in surgery dropping and asked to see your pet as it is right – just don’t say that I didn’t warn you! ⸻ To Milo: I’m so sorry that I trusted this supposed vet to let you go to sleep with the dignity and respect that you deserved sweetheart. I wish I had a read other reviews but I know you know that I would never have subjected you to that under any circumstances. We were both robbed of your last, precious moments by a man so cold and void of any compassion for animals that he really has no business calling himself a puppy dog doctor (vet) Please forgive me my gorgeous little guy xxx
A bit disappointed with our recent experience. We brought our dog in for an ear infection which was pretty expensive , and they didn’t even clean her ears. For that price, I would have expected at least a basic ear cleaning, especially since other vets we’ve been to have included that as standard care. We had to return two weeks later for a follow-up to check if the infection had cleared, which was also expensive. While the infection was gone, the overall value were quite underwhelming.
We have been coming here for years, yesterday my cat got into a fight and got a massive abscess. I rang at 8.15am and got an appointment at 9.30am. the vets are always brilliant as well as all the staff. I thought I was going to have to sell a limb in order to get my cat fixed, but nope all limbs are intact which is a nice change! Cat is slowly on the mend too!
