St John of God Geelong Hospital

This past wknd I went to ED due to pain, as soon as I arrived the staff/ team were incredible. Focused and attentive throughout. I then stayed in 3 East for a few days on the ward and the same level of care continued- staff went above to ensure I was a priority! The Dr ( Dr Josh Lin) was focused on holistic care ensuring even when I was on the ward I was supported and felt heard by him with a clear plan moving forward even after d/c. Exceptional care by all

Had my baby at SJOG last week and cannot thank the maternity and theatre staff enough. Everyone was very friendly, kind and knowledgeable. Also a big thank you to the kitchen staff, the food was amazing! I had intentions of ordering sushi etc from local restaurants after birth but didn't because the hospital food was so delicious. Thank you!

I recently was a patient at SJOG hospital. I can’t express how wonderful and caring the nursing staff all were, so attentive and compassionate. Ordering your own meals, available all day is a wonderful idea. My surgeon Dr Ben Miller has a lovely manner. I would certainly recommend Dr Miller, such a lovely person. Every person I had contact with was lovely. Thank you SJOG.

I just have to share our experience at St John of God Hospital in Geelong – it was truly remarkable. We rushed into the Emergency Department with my wife in excruciating pain, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely looked after. We were seen immediately, which was such a relief in a stressful situation. Every single person we encountered, right from the friendly faces at reception to the calm and efficient triage nurse, made us feel like we were in the best hands. The duty doctors and nurses who then took over were absolutely brilliant. A special shout-out to Sarah, Sophie, and Erin – you ladies are simply incredible. Your professionalism, genuine care, and clear communication made such a difference. We never once felt rushed or uneasy; they took their time to explain everything and ensure my wife was as comfortable as possible. It really feels like the saints of St John are right there, doing amazing work for our community. Thank you again, St John of God Geelong, for everything you do. We're so grateful.

Went to ED here on Mon 29 Dec with a mate who had badly injured his foot competing in an ocean swim event. The service from all was really good - quick to admit, triage, adminster pain meds, image etc. Special shout out to Bianca who was excellent. Thanks to her dogged persistence on the phone Bianca was able to arrange an action plan for surgery much closer to home. And as it turns with an ortho surgeon well experienced in the required speciality. TVM!
