ALDI

Was a bit of a line at the first check out (others closed with only the self serves open). Im very against having to unpack scan, bag, and then pay for my groceries, it feels like a slap in the face as a customer and as a person. I'm happy to bag my own stuff as a trade off for lower prices, and I also get to talk to someone in the process. The guy watching the self serves saw the line and opened up his own register and brought us through, which i really appreciated and was happy to see. The loss of a star is purely for the fact that those self serves are still there

I like this Aldi which is odd because Aldis are the same everywhere, right? Same but different. Its a good parkpark. And the check out guy who philosophically says, "And brochures exist," as he lightly turns and waves at them is pure metaphysics in action. Edit [23.10.23] added pics of some of my fav items.

I'm a late bloomer with Aldi. My housemate goes there all the time. I rarely eat meat but now hooked on Chicken Breast Schnitzel. Again I'm such a fussy eater. But this is definitely a 10. Pop in the Air Fryer until golden brown ✅ add Salad or Veg Mmmm Delish. So satisfying. Oh and also if you see a Rechargeable Bike Light at Aldi. Buy it. It's bright for protection also. I am a big fan of the Choco Pillows (ALDI branded cereal). Every week I go to ALDI Highton to purchase a new box of the cereal and am typically greeted by a lovely young worker named Jasmine. She astounds me with her customer service skills, always down for a friendly chat. Her lovely smile makes my every visit. Thank you to the team at ALDI Highton for my consistently positive experience and delicious choco pillows.

I frequent there almost weekly and been noticing rodent problem in this store. Make sure u check ur breads, sugar or even tissues! I'm amazed that the staffs don't seem to bother to do anything about them.
