Fruit Shack

Very disappointed. My mum paid $150 for groceries, but the young boy working there said she only gave $100. My mum doesn’t speak much English but knows how to count — she was treated unfairly. The fruits and vegetables weren’t fresh either. We’ll never shop here again.

Been getting good produce here for years. Lately, have thrown heaps of stuff out recently but this is the last straw. Bought thus lettuce today, rotten today.

Half the money I'd spend on fruit and veg at supermarkets. Not all aesthetically perfect produce. Usually excellent quality. Bringing my own bags, or using one of the boxes they happily provide, I can buy everything plastic free. I've been shopping there weekly for years. A great place to save money, the environment and farmers from being under the thumb of the Coles-Woolworths duopoly.

In years to come, Imma tell my great-great-great-grand-children that the Granny Smith apples were as big as soccer balls whereas they are only huge and each is about 250g (unlike those tiny 100g tennis balls you get at certain chain supermarkets). $2.49/kg. Also, red capsicums, excellent size and shape? $4.99. Always value and quality here. Plus, excellent parking at Blue West Oval, and there are decent public toilets by it too. Overall, always worth coming here.
